Update from Young Voices Biggest Sing

Sadly, due to the current circumstances, Young Voices have decided that they will need to postpone the World Record attempt until the summer.

We can, however, continue to practice the song from time to time so we’ll be really ready for the event when it happens.

We will update you when we receive further information about the event.

Young Voices Biggest Sing- Guinness World Records title attempt!

Your music activity for the next few weeks is to learn the song, “Lovely Day”. This is so we can hopefully take part in “Young Voices Biggest Sing.”

You will find the lyrics and all the backing tracks attached in this folder- we really hope you enjoy this activity- get the whole family involved!

During children’s mental health week, on February 2nd, our school will be taking part in a U.K wide record breaking attempt to have the largest simultaneous sing-a-long and the aim is also to top the charts with a charity single.

The children will be singing in their own houses and will be able to join the event as it is live-streamed from the O2 arena at 2pm.

This event is in support of Place2Be which provides mental health counselling, support and training to schools to improve the emotional wellbeing of pupils, families, teachers and staff.

The children will join forces with artists Billy Ocean, Yolanda Brown and Ruti as well as children from schools all over the U.K. Leading up to the event, we will be practising the song “Lovely Day” by Bill Withers.

In a time where music and singing could not be more important for the mental health of our children, we feel this is a wonderful opportunity for them all.
