The Woodland Trust Green Tree School Award – Silver Status!

Great news! So far, we have received both the bronze and silver awards from the Woodland Trust as part of their ‘Green Trees School Award’. In order to achieve these we have completed various activities including a tree planting project, online surveys, work on recycling and visiting a local woodland. In the near future, we hope to achieve gold award status. We intend to link our work on this project with another project very close to our hearts Owen’s Day / The Owen McVeigh Foundation. The whole school will complete a friendship ‘tree dressing’and tree partychallenge as part of Owen’s Day and take part in ‘The Man who Planted Trees’ assemblies
